Personal profile

Fiona is a Lecturer in Business and Management. Previously, she had teaching experience in the International Business related areas in the Essex Business School, the University of Essex.

Fiona's doctorate research explores the recruitment practice in the Hong Kong Colonial Government before WW2, and currently is under the examination stage. She further has developed her research interest that lies in the business or managerial activities in the turbulent environment, and the disadvantaged groups in the Business world. Fiona is particularly passionate about looking into the research through social and historical context perspectives.

Recently, she has developed interests in evaluating how cultural elements impact on strength, the resilience of the communities or societies, whose values are dramatically increasing to societies nowadays, especially considering the reality that the COVID-19 pandemic brings us and other possible crises might encounter in the future.
