Personal profile

I am a passionate education practitioner with over 30 years of education experience and more than ten years at senior management level in five different institutions including schools, FE and Sixth Form Colleges. I was a Lead Practitioner for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust related to reducing inequality in achievement that gained national recognition with DfE Innovation Unit/Pupil Breakthrough Unit. This will be my seventh year at Âéw¶¹´«Ã½ on the Education Studies programme and I work on several aspects of the programme. I have also been PT specialist education consultant for Young Enterprise providing financial education CPD to both primary and secondary schools in the region. I was a governor at local College for over 6 years.

Research interests/expertise

My research interests are employability and learning space.

Areas of teaching

Evidence-Based Teaching and Learning, Historical and Contemporary Issues in Education, Thinking and learning in HE, How People Learn, as well as supporting students on Placements and Dissertations.
