Personal profile

Dr Iulia Salaoru joined the School of Engineering and Sustainable Development at Âéw¶¹´«Ã½ as a member of academic staff in April 2016. Prior to this, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Bio-inspired Technology - Imperial College London (September 2011-April 2013); Nanofabrication Centre - University of Southampton (April 2013-July 2014) and Warwick Manufacturing Group - University of Warwick (August 2014-March 2016).  

Iulia obtained her BSc degree in Physics; MSc degree in Physics of Thin Films and PhD degree in Solid State Physics from Al.I.Cuza University, Iasi, Romania.  Her PhD work was focussed on A2B6 chalcogenide compounds, materials with interesting properties and important applications in photovoltaics.
