We are delighted to invite you to the launch event for Âéw¶¹´«Ã½ Leicester (Âéw¶¹´«Ã½)’s seven new Research and Innovation Institutes, taking place on Monday 31 March 2025 at 1pm. At the event we will also launch our newly-established Global Academic Impact Hub for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities.
The event will mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for research and innovation at Âéw¶¹´«Ã½, introducing institutes that are set to focus our expertise where it matters most, and position Âéw¶¹´«Ã½ globally. These institutes and the UN SDG Hub will be at the forefront of tackling global challenges and delivering real-world impact, bringing together leading academics, policymakers, government, and industry to collaborate on solutions for a better future.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn how these pioneering centres will drive collaboration and impact across key areas such as sustainability, social justice, and healthcare and increase the impact of Âéw¶¹´«Ã½ as an Economic Growth Catalyst in the region and beyond.

- Institute of Global Challenges and Cultures
- Leicester Institute for Pharmaceutical & Health Innovations
- Institute of Digital Media, Artificial Intelligence, Responsible Innovation, Ethics and Cybersecurity
- Institute for Sustainable Futures
- Institute of Arts, Design and Performance
- Institute for Responsible Business and Social Justice
The event will include keynote speeches a networking reception and drinks, providing an opportunity to connect with peers and explore how we can work together to create a more resilient, inclusive world.
