Councillor Sarah Russell has served as Pro-Chancellor of Âéw¶¹´«Ã½ (Âéw¶¹´«Ã½) since August 2021, bringing with her a wealth of experience in leadership, governance, and community service. Alongside this role, Sarah represents the Westcotes ward in Leicester, having been a councillor since 2007, and manages the constituency office of Leicester West MP, Liz Kendall.

A champion for social justice, Sarah is deeply committed to initiatives that support vulnerable and underserved communities. She has led and collaborated on numerous projects aimed at tackling poverty and improving access to essential services, including campaigns to provide meals for children during school holidays.

In addition to her local work, Sarah plays a key role at the regional level as Vice Chair of East Midlands Councils, where she helps shape policies to promote growth, sustainability, and well-being across the region.

Her strong track record of advocacy and community engagement, combined with her expertise in social care and governance, make her a vital contributor to both Âéw¶¹´«Ã½’s mission and Leicester's continued development.
