Overview

Data analytics is all about studying information to find patterns and trends to solve problems or underpin key business decisions.

The demand for data professionals, particularly in the East Midlands, is high compared to the numbers of people who have the skills employers are looking for – meaning great job prospects in the field.

This short course will take you through the fundamental skills of data analytics, how to interpret big data and develop problem-solving skills needed.

Âéw¶¹´«Ã½’s expert teachers will cover basic concepts of analysing and interpreting data. Using industry examples and real-life case studies, you’ll be given tasks to complete that will enable you to effectively identify and communicate what the numbers mean to business leaders.

Whether you already work in a data role, are looking for a career change or want to update your skills, this course will give you the tools to succeed.

After completing this course, you’ll be able to:

  • Apply a range of techniques to turn data into actionable business insights, using computer software
  • Develop problem solving skills to investigate a business issue and communicate your findings
